Jakob Stepp is one of the most outstanding chamber musicians of his generation. He performs with renowned instrumentalists and is a sought-after guest at established festivals. His talent and musical interpretations have earned him several prestigious awards, including prizes at the German Music Competition (Deutscher Musikwettbewerb), the Czech Radio Competition (Concertino Praga), and the International Dotzauer Competition. Additionally, he was a scholarship recipient of the Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben and the Jürgen Ponto Foundation. Starting in August 2024, he principal cellist of the Beethoven Orchestra Bonn. In addition to his concert activities, Jakob Stepp has been teaching solo cello and orchestral studies at the Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media.
